The Coil IL still features Cane Creek's incredible twin tube damper that offers incredible small bump absorption and sensitivity with a huge range of adjustment. Twin tube works by allowing the oil to circulate continuously through the damping to achieve the most consistent, contrallable and indepedent damping both in rebound and compression. While the competition is moving all through the main piston, the Double Barrel allows the oil to flow through externally adjustable valving. This means that while all the other brands need to custom tune their shocks to suit each frame, the CCDB has such a wide range of adjustment it can be adjusted to suit any frame.
There is 2 x high speed and 4 x low speed damping circuits.

The CS (Climb Switch) is also a nice feature that improves pedalling and climbing efficiency with the flick of a lever. The Climb Switch works completely different to all other brands compression levers as it adjusts not only low speed compression, but also low speed rebound. This allows it to maintain better traction and control throughout the entire range of travel.

The Double Barrel Coil Inline shock features more adjstment then anything else! There is:
LSR - Low Speed Rebound
HSR - High Speed Rebound
LSC - Low Speed Compression
HSC - High Speed Compression
Climb Switch - On or Off(adjusts the LSR and LSC at the same time)
Spring Preload - How much tension is wound onto the coil spring.
The shock alone (no spring or hardware) weighs in at just 285g in a 216*63 size. They are handbuilt in North Carolina, USA.
Shock is NOT supplied with a spring or mounting hardware.
