Combining Fox's DPS and X2 technologies to give you the best of both worlds! The ultimate trail shock: the Fox DPX2. Combining DPS XC efficiency and X2 DH performance, the DPX2 is the ultimate trail shock. The Dual Piston Base Valve has dedicated compression and lockout circuits for each of the three modes—Open, Medium, and Firm. It also features a recirculating damper design found in X2 shocks, creating excellent small bump sensitivity, great mid-stroke damping support, and better control in transitions.
2019 Fox DPX2:
- Lever actuated Open, Medium, Firm modes
- Open mode adjust tuning range (10 clicks)
- Air spring pressure
- EVOL Air Can " Extra Volume (EVOL) air sleeve significantly reduces the force to initiate travel, providing added sensitivity and better small bump compliance. The progressiveness of the spring curve can be adjusted via air volume spacers, allowing riders to fine-tune the feel of the air spring."
- Recirculating oil damper design gives riders better control

2018 Fox DPX2:
Designed specifically for your trail or enduro bike, the new DPX2 shock is the perfect option for those of you who love aggressive riding. Essentially taking the place of the Float X in the line-up, the new DPX2 boasts a big list of improvements that will suit all riders. The key to its success is combing the Dual Piston System and X2 Architecture.
The Dual Piston System (DPS) features three adjustments, all of which can be made on-the-fly: Open, Medium and Firm. Factory shocks also include 10 clicks of compression adjustment in Open mode. These three modes will allow you to easily adjust the shock depending on what terrain you are on. This will be particularly helpful for those of you with longer travel bikes. Best of all, DPS technology still provides a full lockout without compromising small bump compliance!
X2 Architecture, on the other hand, is what makes the new DPX2 really shine! Coming from their more gravity oriented shocks, X2 offers better heat dissipation, sensitivity and a great tuning range with low-speed compression and rebound adjustments. This will allow the DPX2 to excel on long descents and give you the control you need.
As with the rest of the 2018 line, the DPX2 also utilises the new one-piece EVOL air can. Combined with better oil flow, you will have the best small bump compliance, yet the DPX2 will give you great support further in the travel and will resist blowing through its full travel. Best of all, the new shock features increased bushing overlap to prevent friction which will feel noticeably smoother.
If you're looking for a shock that will tackle a trail ride with ease one day and hit the bike park the next, then the DPX2 is for you!
