One of the reasons that riders skip elbow pads, is the fact that they find them bulky and restrictive. The Pro-X elbow guards are extremely light and offer an unlimited range of motion. With these pads, there's no reason not to wear them.
At first glance, these pads may look like they don't offer much protection, however their success lies in the material they use. Pro-X pads use a rate dependent material that remains soft and flexible when stable but hardens when you impact an object. This provides great protection in one of the lightest packages available on the market. If you ride trail, these are an outstanding choice.
Moisture-wicking, UPF 50 materials.

Favourite feature?Lightweight, good summer protection
Least favourite feature?Seem flimsy so unsure how long theyâll last
Lightweight, flexible with good layer of protection (fell otb down a rock garden, slight bruise came up after a couple of days to my left elbow under protection but didnât even notice it at the time), unsure how durable they will be, time will tell. Stay in place well (sit above bicep and go to mid forearm). Sizing - definitely size up, they run small.
ProsSweat wicking, light compression, provides good knee protection
I practise Aikido which involves
I practise Aikido which involves a lot of kneeling. I decided to try these as they are light weight and have a some compression. Turns out that these have been ideal. The high tech padding material has been just right, together with the compression. The bonus has been that the compression material allows sweat to evaporate, so that my knees have remained relatively dry ! I have tried many knee pads before - but this one allows better movement and comfort. For my knees (have had ACL and meniscus surgery), these have been ideal.
ConsTight around the calf, A little bulky around the knee.
Easy and comfortable to wear,
Easy and comfortable to wear, although it's tight around the calf (despite being in the lower limit of M sizing). The small was more streamlined, but way too tight around both the calf and thigh (was on the outer limit of small sizing). Haven't fallen yet, so don't know how good they are at protecting.
I have been using theses for a few weeks now and am finding them comfortable & lightweight. They give me a sense of confidence in technical rocky sections. I don't find them as hot as expected in the Qld. humidity. I would recommend them for anyone with dodgy knee joints like me. I only wear them with Mtb shorts. Very uncool looking with lycra.
