Description

The KS E20 dropper utilises the technology found in the KS LEV dropper in a more affordable package. This external cable, hydraulic dropper is available in two seat post sizes, 30.9 & 31.6mm and comes in various lengths and drops.

This dropper clamps the cable at the post via the installation of a small barrel nut. You can still use this with any remote that clamps the cable at the lever end. Just snip off the cable nub and clamp it at both ends. Works a treat!

    Replacement dropper post

    I am very happy with my new dropper post, which was easy to install.

    The KS E20 has a very positive action and easy to adjust as I ride.

    I have upgraded from a100mm to a 125 mm travel dropper post which allows my to drop my saddle to a lower position giving more options as I ride.

    The only down side is that I was not able to undo the bottom collar to allow me to adjust the position of the cable attachment location from the R/H side of the Post to the L/H side for a better cable alignment without the fear of damaging the post and or collar.

    I am very happy with the dropper post thank you for the very prompt delivery.

    Just double check every measurement

    Please please please double check all your measurements (you the consumer), the difference between this product fitting and not fitting is 0.7mm. It’s a tiny gap but it will ruin your day.

    This website has a fantastic guide for measuring the dropper post you need so please please please double check!!

    It goes up, it goes down.

    Fitted to my girlfriends Mach 429. Easy to fit and works well although can be sticky for the first rise since sitting for a few days. After the first rise it's fine for the rest of the ride.

    Installed with southpaw lever which has light actuation.

    Great service from MTB Direct as always.

    Great budget-friendly dropper post

    I was looking for a dropper post for my 2009 Giant Alias, so needed an externally routed cable. This was my first dropper, so I didn't want to overspend but also didn't want to buy a no-name brand that failed. After researching, the KS E20 seemed well-priced, a good entry for me and MTB Direct had it on sale. I've had the dropper for a few weeks now and it seems well made, sturdy and met my expectations. So, all-in-all, I am very happy with the product to date. I did struggle to install though with the cable length set at the post making it fiddly and the instructions not giving an inner cable cut length. Also, the inner cable splayed once cut making it difficult to feed into the hook so the addition of a crimp-on ferrule in the kit would have been good. Lastly, instructions on fitting the protective cover were confusing and not intuitive, but I figured it out by pulling down on the outer sheath 5mm enabled the cover spigot to engage and clip in, so all good after that.
