Description

Maxxis' Shorty is perfect when the conditions take a turn for the worst!

Wet, muddy or very loose conditions is where the Shorty comes into its own. The shorty is often referred to as a "cut spike" tyre, as the knobs are still at a mid height so they won't roll over if you hit a hard patch, but the very open design sheds mud easily.

Weight:

The 27.5. x 2.3 EXO TR hits the scales at 865g.

Please note - Wire bead tyres are sent rolled up to minimise shipping costs. The wires in the beads shouldn't get bent during this process, however, if they arrive with a bend, just bend them back til they are straight. It won't affect the performance of the tyre at all.

    Good for dry loose mild mud .

    The shorty is a misunderstood tyre not what i would call a real mud tyre as the nobs are short hence the name shorty they are better in the slop than a dhf but the assegai is better again everywere ive been running the 29 x 2.5 3c exo in loose sandy loam and there pretty good they still have a bit of the dhf vagueness but wear better and havent torn any knobs of and the rear is pretty done now. Worth a try if your dirt is damp or really loose dusty sandy stuff there kinda skittery on hardpack not squirmy just a bit loose as they cant bite in .

    Mud mastery

    Perfect for those squelchy winter trails or when you just need that extra grip on the loose stuff, this tyre offers great lateral grip but magically seems to still roll well! I installed as a front tyre, whilst still running a more all terrain number on the back. Great choice.

    Good tyre bought this whilst

    Good tyre bought this whilst waiting for 2.5 exo Minion DHF. Would be better in winter than summer depending what terrain you ride, but it would still be decent for year round use.
