Description

The Ruckus line of clothing from TLD is their all-mountain do everything line. From long XC rides to bike park laps, the Ruckus line has you covered.

Who's it for: Aimed at the all mountain rider, but suitable for any rider from the XC die hard to the DH sender, the Ruckus is light enough yet tough enough for it all.

Inseam Measurement: Inseam for the Ruckus shorts is 13", so will sit around the knee if not a touch lower, virtually eliminating the dreaded 'gaper gap'.

Liner Included: This is the shell short only and does not come with a liner. Either pair this short with your favourite chamois or see the link below for the Ruckus short that comes with a liner included.

Materials: 2-way stretch, mesh panels at the rear allow for enhanced range of motion and positive airflow. Contoured waistband designed for all day comfort, with laser perforations for enhance ventilation. Zipper ventilation ports on the inner leg allow for even more airflow on super hot days.

Pockets: The Ruckus has two zipper pockets within easy reach at the upper sides as well as a super handy and well placed zippered phone pocket on the right thigh.

Waist Closure System: Double snap button closure and a zipper fly keeps the pants closed while the two hook and loop pull tab adjusters provide up to two inches of adjustment.

Pros: Superb quality and breathability. One of the best phone carrying solutions out there with the well placed zippered pocket on the right thigh. Your phone won't flap around when you're pedalling and is relatively safe in the event of a crash.

Cons: Inner thigh zippers may rub or get caught on your saddle if you're not careful, when they're open.

    What's the opposite of durable?

They are a very nice fitting short, however first ride I've torn a hole in the stretch mesh panel at the back from a single butt scrub on a heavy case where I didn't even crash. Needless to say I'm pretty disappointed at forking out $170 for this pair of shorts which is now kinda wrecked after 1 ride. Previous to this I had owned a pair of TLD Moto shorts which are the most durable riding shorts I've ever owned, had plenty of crashes in them and no tears, I got a good 8 years out of them and I've only retured thm as the pockets all have holes in them. I wish the Moto short was still available to buy as they're worth every dollar. I'd say these Ruckus pants are some nice XC or trail shorts, but if you're aftre something that can withstand a bit of abuse then these are not the shorts for you.

    Phone pocket is too small

Quality sorts, good length for use with knee pads. I purchased these shorts honestly because of the description stating 'right hand phone pocket' and 'the best phone carrying solution', this is completely inaccurate The right hand zipper pocket wouldn't even fit a brick Nokia phone in it. Lucky the left hand upper pocket fits the phone perfectly, problem for me is I always crash on my left side so I really wanted a right hand pocket.
